Amazon third-party sellers who have been selling for three months or longer are now eligible to upload product videos to help them boost sales, improve conversion, and decrease returns, the company announced.
And best of all, sellers do not have to be brand-registered to add videos, so this new feature is available to all sellers.
How Videos Can Boost Sales on Amazon
The integration of video on product pages has become an essential element in online shopping, greatly influencing customer behavior and preferences.
Videos can serve as a valuable tool for buyers exploring new products to gain insights about the product, allowing them to make a well-informed purchase decision.
These videos can include a multitude of information, such as product demonstrations, installation guides, and step-by-step tutorials.
Furthermore, edited versions of these product videos can be repurposed as “short form” videos, and strategically shared on social media channels to drive traffic to the product listings.
Producing impactful videos doesn’t require an exorbitant budget. Instead, the focus should be on creating videos that are both visually clear and authentically representative of the product or brand.
By prioritizing these aspects, sellers can effectively engage with their target audience, fostering trust and loyalty in the process.
To get started with product videos, go to Amazon’s video upload page where the company offers instructions, troubleshooting help, and best practices to help sellers maximize video placements.
