Amazon’s AWS division seems to be on a small tech shopping spree. Just last week, the company purchased cloud backup and disaster recovery firm CloudEndure.
Now it has been confirmed that Amazon AWS also acquired TSO Logic, a company that specializes in automated data-driven analytics solutions for cloud services and data centers.
“We are very pleased to share the news that TSO Logic will be joining the AWS family. Since 2012, our team has worked persistently to build an analytics solution that helps customers plan, optimize and save on their way to cloud. Together with AWS, we are excited to go further with our mission to simplify cloud planning and IT transformation.”
Aaron Rallo, CEO – TSO Logic
There are no details on the transaction and Amazon historically does not comment on its smaller acquisitions.
Just like the CloudEndure purchase, this technology buy seems to shore up some areas of AWS to help Amazon’s cloud customers better optimize cloud workloads.
But since AWS powers Amazon.com, the technology TSO Logic brings to AWS may also benefit the company’s eCommerce side of the business to run smoother.
