This strategic acquisition will enhance Auctane’s comprehensive range of multi-carrier shipping solutions by providing ecommerce merchants with an intuitive and adaptable returns management offering.

Launched in 2021, Return Rabbit quickly established itself as a leading returns and exchanges management solution for Shopify sellers.

With features such as full-catalog exchanges, custom return reasons, and advanced reporting capabilities, Return Rabbit goes beyond traditional returns management solutions, aiming to transform the returns process into a positive experience for consumers.

A recent survey indicates that 44% of U.S. shoppers are less likely to shop with a retailer that offers a difficult return experience.

“In today’s ecommerce landscape, virtually every merchant has to grapple with how to handle customer returns, and the stakes are high,” said Albert Ko, Chief Executive Officer at Auctane. “The analytics and exchange-focused approach that Return Rabbit brings to the conversation empowers merchants to make smart decisions about this critical part of the delivery experience.”

Return Rabbit provides small and mid-sized merchants with advanced analytics that enable them to gain a more in-depth understanding of why their customers initiate returns and offer smart suggestions for exchanges, effectively preserving sales.

“We see returns as a chance to get to know our customers. If the product they purchased isn’t right for them, we want to know why – and we want to give them suggestions for something that might work better. With Return Rabbit, those efforts yielded millions in retained revenue last year and a 112% increase in upsells for our business,” explained Lena Song, Vice President of Operations at Honeylove, a Return Rabbit customer.

Gagandeep Singh Suri, the founder and CEO of Return Rabbit, expressed excitement about joining forces with Auctane, as it provides access to global resources and capabilities that will enable them to serve a broader client base.

“When we started Return Rabbit, the aim was not just to streamline the returns process for retailers but also to convert the entire process into a positive experience for shoppers,” added Singh Suri.

Return Rabbit First Platform To Focus on Returns for Auctane

Returns have become a focus for Auctane recently. Krish Iyer, Vice President of Industry Relations and Strategic Partnerships for Auctane, recently wrote an exclusive article for eSeller365 where he discussed the current state of returns.

He emphasized, “a strategic approach to returns can yield major gains in customer retention and inventory management.”

Therefore, the addition of Return Rabbit to Auctane’s portfolio marks a significant expansion of the company’s portfolio of ecommerce solutions, now being the first platform in its group of companies to specialize on the after-the-sale process.

The announcement also follows Auctane’s recent appointment of Albert Ko as its CEO and further demonstrates the company’s commitment to the ecommerce industry to provide comprehensive delivery experiences and logistics solutions to increase customer satisfaction.

Auctane expressed its welcome to the team of Return Rabbit employees, who bring extensive industry expertise and knowledge in reverse logistics. Their valuable insights may also benefit some of Auctane’s other brands down the road.
