DHL Opens First of Its Kind Mobile MEA Innovation Center in Dubai South
DHL announced that it has opened its first innovation center in Dubai South covering the Middle East and Africa region, which is also the company’s first fully mobile center globally.

The 450 sqm (~4850 sqft) facility located in the Logistics District at Dubai South is easily assembled and disassembled, ready to move on to the next location.
Top executives from DHL in the presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, and Chairman of Dubai Airports officiated the opening of the new facility.
The state-of-the-art Mobile MEA Innovation Center will present a collaborative platform for DHL customers, partners, and other thought leaders to solve complex logistics challenges.
They will be able to learn about the latest trends in logistics, and network with industry innovators across the MEA region.

The DHL Mobile MEA Innovation Center Focuses on Regional Requirements
Among the exhibitions at the Mobile MEA Innovation Center will be a selection of exhibits dedicated to key technologies that will shape the logistics industry in the future, as well as proof-of-concepts successfully implemented by DHL already.
The exhibits focus on the unique requirements of DHL customers in the region, including IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Bionic Enhancement, and Data Analytics across the domains of supply chain analytics, warehouse digital twins, and last-mile delivery optimization.

After Chicago, USA; Cologne, Germany; and Singapore, this is DHL’s fourth Innovation Center, but the MEA Mobile Innovation Center is the first mobile one launched by the company.

Dubai will host the facility until 2022, then move to Qatar, the next stop on its journey across the MEA region, continuing through 2027.
