eBay Named as a ‘Best Place to Work’ in 2022 by Glassdoor

Every year the website Glassdoor announces their ‘Best Place to Work’ awards and for 2022 eBay has featured in the top 100 companies in the United States. The annual awards are based upon often anonymous employee reviews about several key working factors such as career opportunities, work/life balance, and company culture.

Perhaps most interesting in the Glassdoor list of top 10 ‘Best Places to Work’ for 2022 is that Amazon is not on the list. This omission comes less than a year after Amazon won the LinkedIn award for Top companies where Americans want to work. Does this pose the question that perhaps life at Amazon isn’t as great as people might think it is from the outside? As the Glassdoor award is based on the reviews from actual employees at the company.

eBay came in at #55 on the list and has released a statement referencing their inclusion in the ‘Best Place to Work’ awards which you can see below:

To determine the ‘Best place to Work’ award winners, Glassdoor evaluated all company reviews by current and former employees that were shared from October 2020 to October 2021. The reviews capture their feedback around overall job satisfaction, work environment, and employer. 

As part of their review, employees are asked to rate other workplace factors about their company, including career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, and work/life balance.
