eBay Shared Insights at USPTO Roundtable on Advancing Anti-Counterfeiting and Anti-Piracy Measures

At a recent roundtable organized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), eBay joined a group of business representatives, intellectual property (IP) rights holders, and other stakeholders to exchange insights on the most recent trends and tactics concerning anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy.

During a panel discussion titled ‘Enforcement in the Ecommerce Universe,’ Anthony Rufo, Senior Legal Counsel for Global Intellectual Property at eBay, emphasized the significance of sharing information among industry stakeholders.

Rufo also highlighted eBay’s proactive approach towards building relationships with rights owners and law enforcement to combat counterfeits.

He specifically mentioned eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee program and recent investments made by the company, such as the acquisition of 3PM Shield, to improve the platform’s counterfeit detection.
