eBay UK has announced the launch of the 5th eBay for Business Awards, designed to celebrate the growing talent of entrepreneurs across the country.
Last year thousands of candidates entered and inspiring entrepreneurs from across the nation shared how they had successfully managed their business and thrived despite the pandemic.
Each finalist will go home with a prize of £5,000. They will also be given access to a range of tailored marketing and business support, such as a free anchor store subscription, eBay Concierge service, or enrollment in eBay’s Pro-Trader programme.
The Grand Prize winner will be awarded an extra £15,000 (£20,000 prize in total), in recognition of their entrepreneurial flair and success. They will also receive a package of marketing and PR support from eBay valued at over £100,000, giving them the power to stand out, increase exposure and grow their business.
“The pandemic has presented many challenges to small businesses up and down the country, so this year’s eBay for Business Awards are more important than ever in recognizing the ingenuity and resilience of Britain’s entrepreneurs.
“The eBay for Business Awards are a key milestone in our year where we stop to celebrate inspiring businesses across the country and their small business power. I’m always amazed by the talent of the business owners who operate on our platform, whether they’re driving huge growth, building livelihoods, creating jobs in the community, or fundraising for charity. I can’t wait to see all the stories from this year’s entries.”Murray Lambell, General Manager, eBay UK
“Winning last year’s eBay for Business Awards was the best thing that has ever happened to my business, it’s been a gamechanger for me and has enabled me to level up my business in several ways. I used my prize money to launch my own website, as well as re-branding and increasing the stock levels on my eBay shop. I’ve also been able to recruit a small team and have big plans to launch my own clothing label by the end of the year!
My advice to this year’s entrants would be to just go for it, take the gamble and take a chance on your dreams. Make sure to share every detail of your business as it’s unique to you. I’m looking forward to hearing the success stories from this year’s awards.”Patricia Otoa Ayo, Founder, OP Chic Boutique and eBay For Business Grand Prize Winner in 2020
Entrants should submit their entry on the eBay for Business awards website www.ebayawards.com.
