eBay UK in a note to sellers clarified business seller protections in the UK due to government imposed COVID lockdown rules.
“We understand you may have experienced challenges over the peak season and we want to ensure you are supported in delivering a great experience for your buyers,” the company said.
eBay UK explained it is already adding to buyer-facing delivery estimates to account for any delays that may arise as and when required, but it is also offering additional measures for sales in November to ensure seller’s performance is not affected:
- eBay UK will automatically remove Late Delivery counts and any related Negative or Neutral feedback received for transactions between 5 November to 21 November 2020.
- A business seller’s item not received count (INR) in Service Metrics and any related Negative or Neutral feedback will be automatically removed for transactions between 5 November to 21 November 2020. eBay UK will remove it on the condition that a business seller uploaded valid tracking before the delivery was scanned.
The company added it will be processing Defect removals and any related Negative or Neutral feedback as quickly as possible and it may be a short period of time before these actions appear in a business seller’s account.
eBay UK assured business sellers, “we will keep monitoring the situation and implement additional protection if and when it’s required.”
