Etsy April 2021 Categories and Item Attributes Update
Etsy has released a categories and item attributes update for April 2021 which does not include new categories, only attribute changes in existing categories. The company occasionally updates categories and item attributes that enable sellers to classify their products better, making it easier for buyers to find the items they are looking for on the platform.

New Scent and Wax-type Attributes for Candles
Etsy added two new attributes for listings in the Candle category. Now sellers can add attributes that describe the specific scent of the candle, for example, herbal or fruity. The company also added an attribute that lets sellers specify the type of wax used in the candle.
New Height and Type Attributes For Desks
Etsy added two new attributes for listings in the Desk category. Now sellers can add a specific attribute for the height of the desk they’re selling. Also new is a descriptive attribute for the type of desk, for example, drafting or rolltop.
The Etsy April 2021 category update is another relatively small update following the slightly larger March 2021 update. Sellers that may have missed previous updates can check out the full list of categories and sub-categories available on the Etsy Marketplace here.
