Adobe have officially announced the consolidation of their branding which has resulted in Magento Commerce and Adobe Commerce Cloud to become Adobe Cloud. This was first announced on the Magento blog with the following statement:
“Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen digital commerce become the dominant channel for driving business growth as consumers and business buyers turn to digital experiences as never before. Our mission of using technology to connect and empower more merchants than ever has taken on greater urgency.
As we approach the three-year anniversary of Adobe’s acquisition of Magento Commerce, we’ve made tremendous progress in accelerating our product roadmap and leveraging Adobe’s incredible scale to serve more customers across every industry. After integrating our sales, marketing, and product teams within the Adobe Experience Cloud business unit and aligning our partner and developer experience efforts, uniting our two brands under one commerce umbrella is the next phase of our integration.
So, we are now officially consolidating the branding of the licensed commerce product from Magento Commerce and Adobe Commerce Cloud to the single brand of Adobe Commerce. Magento Open Source branding and support remain unchanged. Adobe continues to support the Magento Association and its charter of empowering the global Magento community to come together, learn, share, and collaborate on commerce challenges.
Our market focus and product priorities for Adobe Commerce, powered by Magento, are aligned to helping customers across the full breadth of their commerce journey. We continue to execute on our vision of delivering advanced multi-channel commerce, deeply integrated with best-in-class experience and marketing capabilities to provide customers across industries with highly differentiated transactable touchpoints. Our investments in flexibility, scale, security, and intelligence serve merchants across the spectrum, from emerging high growth startups to established brands and B2B companies expanding to new markets or adding direct-to-consumer business models, as well as companies looking to provide an integrated solution to complex multi-brand, multi-geography implementations.
Empowering our global community of merchants, partners, and developers to collaborate on, contribute to, and extend our core capabilities is more important than ever in today’s digital-only universe. It’s an exciting time to be part of our expanded Adobe digital experience ecosystem. I want to thank our global community of partners and developers for their continued contributions to help us extend and accelerate the value we deliver to customers across industries around the world.
I look forward to sharing the exciting commerce innovations we’re bringing to market at the Adobe Summit next week! Register and join us for over 400 sessions and workshops across 11 tracks and hear from commerce visionaries across the global Adobe ecosystem.
