With Media Mail, shippers can save money on the following categories:
- Books (8 pages or more).
- Movies: DVDs, VHS, and Blu-ray discs.
- Printed and recorded music CDs, cassette tapes, vinyl records, and sheet music.
Sellers may not use this service for comic books, magazines, newspapers, video games, address books, blank notebooks, notepads, 3-ring binders, digital media saved to USB, flash drives, and any media material containing advertising.
Media Mail through Mercari enables sellers to offer prepaid shipping offers for items up to 20 lbs with savings up to 81% savings vs. standard retail shipping rates, including receiving up to $200 in shipping protection.
First Class Envelopes: Coming soon to the marketplace, the new First Class envelopes will enable trading card aficionados to enjoy a more convenient, reliable and affordable way to ship using prepaid shipping labels on Mercari.
From Sports, Pokémon to Kpop photo cards and more, sellers can ship from 1 to 3 oz with rates starting at just 60 cents.
With Mercari already offering shoppers up to 70% off retail prices, the marketplace has expanded its shipping options in response to customer feedback for additional ways to save on shipping.
Considering today’s economic inflationary conditions, this is welcomed news to buyers and sellers.
Mercari Building Huge Business Among Secondhand Goods
Mercari is constantly looking for ways to improve the customer experience. The company recently published a new guide on how it projects to reach $12.8 billion in secondhand products by 2030.
It has joined other marketplaces to drive sales of pre-owned products that are no longer used today but can help families get back some money, while also offering discounts.
