With this addition, the carrier is empowering ecommerce retailers and shippers to tap into an additional 19 million consumers with faster and more reliable home delivery at unbelievably low costs.
This launch expands OnTrac’s delivery coverage to 80% of the U.S. population across 31 states and Washington, D.C., providing an alternative to national private carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
“We couldn’t ignore the massive demand from our valued customers – omnichannel retailers and direct-to-consumer brands – who were eager for our services in Texas,” said Josh Dinneen, Chief Commercial Officer of OnTrac.
“Our expansion brings unmatched benefits for retailers and their customers alike. Retailers can now elevate their game with faster home delivery, reduced expenses, and enhanced flexibility, while consumers get to enjoy lightning-fast deliveries.
“The Lone Star State, here we come! We can’t wait to welcome new employees into the OnTrac family and become an integral part of the local communities.”
The heart the Texas operations will be in Dallas-Fort Worth, conveniently located at 802 East Centre Park Blvd. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as the primary sorting hub for Texas, managing millions of deliveries to 7.6 million residents in the region.
It is positioned for maximum efficiency with easy access to the I-35 and I-20 corridors and promises next-day delivery throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio markets.
OnTrac’s Texas expansion will create hundreds of full- and part-time jobs, fueling local delivery demand and boosting economic growth in the state.
OnTrac Growth Supports Online Sellers and Retailers
This launch marks a significant milestone in OnTrac’s growth trajectory, following the merger with LaserShip and substantial network and infrastructure investments to support retailers.
Last summer, the carrier unveiled a transcontinental delivery service, seamlessly connecting its East and West Coast delivery footprints to whisk packages from coast-to-coast in just three days!
Now, Texas is a critical link between these complementary networks, empowering retailers and shippers to leverage OnTrac and serve more customers in the nation’s most populous areas.
Furthermore, OnTrac has invested in cutting-edge facilities, expanding its sort centers and automating its operations in multiple locations, increasing hourly sortation capacity by nearly 200%.
Consumers in Texas are in for a treat with access to OnTrac’s innovative delivery platform, boasting its exclusive Visual Proof of Delivery (vPOD) service.
This feature ensures unparalleled visibility and transparency by providing customers with a photo confirmation and virtual time stamp upon successful package delivery.
Also, OnTrac’s NotifyMe feature keeps customers in the loop through SMS notifications, alerting them of attempted deliveries and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
