PayPal Enters Global Partnership with B2B Startup OroCommerce
Paypal announced today they have entered into a strategic global partnership with B2B eCommerce company Oro, which is developing an open source B2B platform called OroCommerce.
OroCommerce is brand new eCommerce platform designed from the ground up to offer solutions for B2B customers without having to modify B2C solutions such as Magento.
If you have never heard of OroCommerce, here is our full story about them from January.
This partnership with Paypal will allow Oro to create a fully integrated global payment solution that allows Oro’s clients to provide their customers with an easy way to pay for goods and services.
This is not Paypal’s first foray into the B2B realm as they already have some traction with Paypal Working Capital and previous partnerships with Reckon last July and SME Invoicing platform Xero.
“Having been the market leader in B2C payments for more than a decade, we are now seeing a growing adoption rate of PayPal by B2B businesses,” said Jason Smith, head of PayPal global channel partners. “As the industry’s first eCommerce platform built specifically for B2B companies, OroCommerce has both the expertise and resources we need to help us deliver greater value and provide better payment experience for our B2B merchants.”
