PayPal launches small business tool set ‘Business in a Box’
PayPal launched a new collaboration toolset for small businesses they dubbed “Business in a Box.”
The service developed in partnership with Xero and WooCommerce offers online retailers a collection of tools for running their stores.
The idea of Business in a Box is to make it easier to start selling online. You must first sign up for a PayPal business account and then sign up for Business in a Box.
The registration with Business in a Box will then open up a few more providers of services that will get you started selling online.
The four tools provided by PayPal’s Business in Box concept are:
- PayPal – Accept online payments
- WooCommerce – Online storefront
- Xero – Accounting and Consultancy
- Paypal Working Capital – Financing
As part of the program, WooCommerce is offering the Xero plugin for free and an additional three months with a 1-year paid Pressable subscription.
Pressable is a WordPress specialized hosting platform that also offers a fast, scalable and secure hosting option tailored for WooCommerce.
Xero is an online accounting platform that also provides a directory of local and specialized accountants and bookkeepers.
With the PayPal’ Business in a Box, Xero you will receive a 30-day free trial to Xero, 1-hour consultation with a Xero advisor, and a $100 credit to your Xero account.
Of course, Paypal is adding their regular payment services to accept all credit cards and PayPal payments. Moreover, with PayPal Working Capital a financing option to obtain working capital based on your current sales.
BUSINESS IN A BOX MAY HAVE SOME PERKS FOR EXISTING ONLINE RETAILERS
As we mentioned, the collaboration of these tools into one concept targets newer online retailers. Most online retailers will probably have signed up for one or all of these type of services already.
However, if you are thinking about switching eCommerce platforms or accounting services, this could be an excellent opportunity to get some free perks.
