Shippo, the business shipping platform, is introducing a new workflow, shipping analytics, improved navigation, customizable options and more.

Launched only four years ago, the cloud-based service now has over 35,000 businesses that use the platform to manage their shipping needs.

Shipping often accounts for 15 to 30 percent of eCommerce business spend. The company found that their clients grew shipping by 71 percent year-over-year.

This kind of growth in shipping volume drives Shippo to continue to update their platform to help their customers reduce costs and improve productivity.

What Is New?

  • Shipping analytics and reporting, to help answer questions about shipping performance.
  • A new, data-driven workflow; relies on approaches in machine learning our own algorithms to allow customers to significantly reduce time to buy a label.

A challenge for every eCommerce business is workflow and how to improve highly repetitive tasks. Especially true in shipping, much time can be spent packing, finding best carrier options for the customer, running labels, updating tracking, and notifying customers.

Shippo’s new workflow now offers automated shipping recommendations based on package weight, dimensions, shipping carrier, and preferred customer shipping service.

The new at-a-glance shipping analytics and reporting​ will help sellers answer basic questions around overall shipping history with stats for spend, current shipments’ status, deliverability, delays, fulfillment times, and how to better optimize carrier and service level choices.

A new multi-user account gives sellers the flexibility to include more team members to better communicate with customers and improve overall workflow requirements for any department that may need access to the shipping data or platform.

And new customizable email notifications now provide a branded experience to merchants allowing them to maintain their corporate branding across all communications with their customers.

This new branding customization also applies to packing slips and tracking pages.

New Navigation

With all the new features the company is adding, it also redesigned the navigation experience making it easier for sellers or team members to find information quickly.

This new tiered navigation includes simplified ‘save’ settings and ‘back’ button navigation for each page, improving productivity.
