Because of its origin, Prestashop has larger European focus and an estimated 2.71 percent market share in the UK. This ranks the platform eighth most popular in the country according to data from Datanyze.
The UK is Europe’s most evolved marketplace, and the Prestashop integration is another example of ShipStation expanding into new markets. Just recently, ShipStation added full Royal Mail support to its platform.
U.S. eCommerce platform market share for Prestashop is just under 1 percent. But the sheer number of eCommerce platform installations in the U.S. still make this a desirable and growing market segment.
“PrestaShop and ShipStation are united in the strong mission to empower merchants, no matter what or how much they sell, to be successful in a fiercely competitive industry. Both companies provide best-in-class yet affordable solutions to drive their success and bottom line: ‘Look like a superstore with PrestaShop, fulfill like a logistics champion with ShipStation’.”
Kenneth Cruz, General Manager – USA, PrestaShop
As with most other shopping cart integrations, Prestashop orders will flow into the ShipStation platform where users can process the orders for shipment and tracking data is updated back to Prestashop.
Customer will receive relevant updates and tracking details from Prestashop or ShipStation, depending on how the merchant configures the system.
