Shopify Extends Trials

Shopify Helping Small Business Community Through Coronavirus Crisis

The impact on the coronavirus crisis is many small businesses, especially those that have very little online presence and were forced to close their stores due to Stay at Home orders.

To help businesses who do not have an online presence, Shopify is extending its regular 14-day free trial to 90 days. This gives business owners the time to get their online shops operating without having to spend a dime on the monthly subscription fees.

It is also a chance for online retailers to consider expanding into a different product category or industry, especially if they are not familiar with the Shopify platform.

The offer is valid for new Shopify customers only. Also, users on a 14-day trial can extend the trial to 90 days.

Other services Shopify is adding to its customers:

Gift Cards For All Plans and Customers

Shopify store owners can now get their customers a way to support them now by offering gift cards. The ecommerce platform is making physical and digital gift cards available on all new and existing Shopify plans.

Local Pickup and Delivery

Flatten the curve, while getting products into the hands of local customers. Shopify store owners can drop off orders by creating a local delivery option only visible to customers who live in that zone. Brick and mortar retailers using Shopify POS will have the opportunity to offer customers in-store/curb-side pick up for online orders.

Shopify Captial $200 Million in Small Business Funding

Shopify Capital is a way for store owners to get some quick funding to bridge short-term cash flow issues or expand their inventory to offer products currently in high-demand.

Currently, this offer is available to Shopify customers in the U.S. and the U.K. More countries are expected to follow soon.

Live Events & Connect With Fellow Shopify Store Owners

Shopify is bringing weekly virtual programming designed to help small businesses through these uncertain times, and local community meetups to help online merchants connect with other business owners and experts online.

The company also invites small business owners to connect with fellow business owners and get support in its COVID-19 community forum.

Shopify said, “Business owners like you are the heart of Shopify, and we always want to do everything in our power to support you. Together, we’ll make it through.”
