Shopify Launches US fulfillment Network for Its Merchants
Shopify announced today at Shopify Unite 2019 that it is launching its Shopify Fulfillment Network (Shopify SFN), a new way to get orders to customers easily and quickly.

Qualifying merchants in the US can now apply for early access to Shopify Fulfillment Network with a dedicated network of fulfillment centers that will ensure timely deliveries, and lower shipping costs, for a superb customer experience.
Shopify’s smart inventory-allocation technology, powered by machine learning, predicts the closest fulfillment centers and optimal inventory quantities per location to ensure fast, low-cost delivery.
After the customer completes checkout, Shopify Fulfillment Network takes care of everything else, while putting the merchant’s brand and customer experience front and center.
Making fulfillment affordable and easy
Shopify is known for having simplified the online shopping experience, and they are now taking this one step further.
The company is making the fulfillment systems and technology that used to be reserved for the largest companies in the world accessible and affordable to every merchant, even those just starting to take off.
All of this happens without requiring sellers to be technical experts, so they can focus on building lasting relationships with customers.

Giving small businesses a chance to battle Amazon
While Shopify did not specify the exact locations for its fulfillment centers, the graphic it released might be a clue (see header image).
The Shopify SFN should allow sellers to reach most customers within 1-2 days from the order date, enabling them to offer the service online customers demand today.
