Squarespace Launches New POS System Partnering With Square

Breaking news today from Squarespace as they have announced their brand new POS system utilising a partnership with mobile payment processor Square.

This announcement from Squarespace comes just in time for Small Business Saturday, the first Saturday following Thanksgiving where buyers are actively encouraged to support the small independent businesses out there.

Bridging The Online Offline Gap

For those sellers that sell products at farmers markets, craft fairs and beyond, offering a POS option is crucial to running your business.

Previously Squarespace customers have had to utilise third party integrations or deal with managing their online and offline stock and stores manually.

With their new POS system powered by Square it will mean a much cleaner and automated integration with their online system able to better track any offline sales.

Squarespace POS will allow for small business owners to easily take orders in person while keeping their inventory in sync with their online stores. It will also help them centralize inventory, orders, customers, and analytics data on an all-in-one platform so they can spend less time managing their business and more time interacting with their customers in real life.

Squarespace POS will be available to Squarespace Commerce Basic and Commerce Advanced customers in theĀ App Store. Additionally, new Square customers can redeem a no-transaction fee offer on their first $1000 of sales.

This is a fantastic addition to Squarespace and will add another string to their bow. For new customers looking for an online solution this could be a great piece of functionality to sway them towards Squarespace over competitor platforms.

It is also great news for existing Squarespace customers who have been running offline and online manually up until now.
