Amazon’s new EDV (electric delivery van) is pretty cool! Should Rivian make a consumer version of this van? 🤔🤷🏽‍♂️ #van #vanlife #amazon #EV #cartok #rivian #foryoupage #foryou #UltaBeautyForward

The Future of Electric Delivery Vehicles

For years we have heard about the next generation of electric delivery vehicles was going to be hitting the roads and this latest version from Rivian looks to be the most advanced yet.

Whilst USPS has also ordered a huge fleet of electric vehicles this new vehicle by Rivian looks to have had a lot more input from delivery drivers to help make a vehicle that addresses a lot of drivers’ needs.

Amazon owns just over 17% of the automotive manufacturer Rivian and to date is also the company’s largest customer. Many believe that upon delivering this specialist electric delivery vehicle for Amazon (Which even features the Amazon smile in its headlamps) that Rivian will also start producing a similar vehicle with some of the specialized features missing, for other commercial businesses.

Amazon took a bit gamble on Rivian when they invested so heavily which shows that the eCommerce giant not only had plans for their own electric delivery vehicle needs but expected significant growth in this part of Rivian’s business future.
