Both UPS and FedEx have issued service alerts for today, February 11, 2021, due to weather events impacting portions of the United States. In addition, the winter weather has impacted the two company’s primary air hubs located in Louisville (UPS) and Memphis (FedEx) which will impact shipments across the nation.
- UPS: Significant weather events in the Louisville, KY and Philadelphia, PA area are impacting the UPS U.S. Air Network. As a result, some delivery delays are unavoidable. (UPS Service Alerts)
- FedEx: FedEx Express experienced substantial disruptions at the Memphis hub last night due to winter weather conditions. Potential delays are possible for package deliveries across the U.S. with a delivery commitment of February 11, 2021. FedEx is committed to provide service to the best of our ability. As of mid-day Thursday, USPS has not issued alerts regarding any delivery issues. However, USPS contracts with FedEx to transport USPS Priority Mail Express and many other mail services., Therefore, shippers should expect delays within the USPS system as well.
