As the holiday season inches closer, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) has rolled out an update that will significantly enhance the selling experience on the Walmart Marketplace platform for third-party merchants who sell larger and bulky items.

WFS is Walmart’s fulfillment solution designed to assist third-party sellers in delivering top-notch service to their customers all year. It’s a crucial asset for sellers aiming to streamline their operations and meet the demands during peak season.

The company has been making improvements to WFS to better compete with Amazon FBA, giving small businesses an alternative to reach more customers through its Walmart.com sales channel.

1. Expanded Product Range: WFS now welcomes an even wider range of products, including oversized, heavy, and multi-box items. This update allows sellers to confidently offer everything from big-screen TVs to home gyms, pools, furniture, and more.

2. No More Small Package Size Limits: Say goodbye to size constraints for most larger products. WFS can now handle items with new limits of up to 500 lbs. and dimensions of 120 inches x 105 inches x 93 inches, including multi-box items. This newfound flexibility empowers sellers to fulfill orders for even the most substantial items with ease.

3. Enhanced Convenience: As always, WFS is committed to ensuring a hassle-free holiday season for vendors and customers alike. With these enhancements, you can count on prompt and efficient order fulfillment of large and bulky products within the contiguous United States.

However, sellers planning to ship larger items to Walmart during peak season (October 1 – December 31) may take up to 10 days to process. Plan accordingly.
