USPS Service Disruptions Puerto Rico

USPS Suspends Operations at Many Facilities in Puerto Rico Due to Hurricane Fiona – Updated 11/25/2022

Due to Hurricane Fiona, USPS has suspended all operations in Puerto Rico at the following facilities until further notice.

Hurricane Fiona has ravaged Puerto Rico with news media reporting mudslides and significant power outages on the island.

The US Postal Service said in an industry bulletin that no alternate sites are currently available for the postal facilities listed below. The closures will likely impact deliveries, even in areas that are accessible.

In addition, USPS is not accepting any drop shipments at these facilities either.

If a facility is not listed, its operations are no longer impacted by this service suspension notice.

USPS did not specify any challenges regarding mail movement to and within the island. The airport in San Juan is open.

Tracking of mail destined for Puerto Rico may show extended time of no movement at a mail facility in the United States or Puerto Rico. Therefore, sellers and merchants should continue to monitor shipments for any progress and advise customers of mail delays.
